Spring Fair 2018: Highlights

February sees the annual return of the UK’s most diverse home trade show - Spring Fair at the NEC in Birmingham. Home to over 2,500 national and international exhibitors, the show displays interior trends for the year ahead on a huge scale. We love going along and peeking at new collections and beautiful products. Here’s our highlights from this year.

Switching grey and beige for the earthier tones of green is a big hit in the world of interiors, and it’s safe to say that the exhibition halls at Spring Fair were doused in sage. Dubbed ‘the new neutral’, we love the way the colour blends so well with just about anything. From wooden floors to metal finishes, the versatility of sage is virtually endless. We styled it with dusty pink fabrics in one of our recent interiors projects…

2018 is all about texture, and velvet is making a big comeback. Think blush pink headboards and burnt orange armchairs. We loved this forest green sofa which is quickly becoming a favourite for furnishing our new studio.

Dark Wood

Well-crafted Scandinavian design has been a favourite for interior stylists for long time, and clean, light wood finishes are a staple of this trend. But this year, dark woods are in. Mahogany and dark oak are replacing bleached woods and we love the organic texture that comes with it. Brassy metal finishes give this dark wood cabinet a contemporary feel.

Bright is Back

We are big on colour, so we were happy to see that bold pigments are in. We loved seeing such a variation of colours - rich yellows and deep teals were a couple of our personal favourites. Keep an eye out for splashes of colour in our interiors projects this year.
