IDENTITY | PRINT | DIGITAL
A small, creative publishing house, Paragraph Press came to us as a new business in need of a name and brand identity that would set them apart from 'old-fashioned' publishers.
Paragraph assists self-publishers in getting their books to print by offering a variety of services from copy editing to illustration. They required a visual style that is confident, young, and versatile.
It was decided very early on that the Paragraph logo must feature a pilcrow (the paragraph symbol). We used this as a foundation for the brand, which evolved into a sophisticated yet playful identity, with focus on colour and pattern.
The primary use for the brand would be digital - a website and social media - with a small collection of printed materials and a yearly magazine, The Pilcrow.
The Paragraph brand is designed to be a neutral base, with the Paragraph logo able to sit alongside even the most illustrative of posters, standing out as a clean element amongst the detail.
